Stuart Wolfendale Writes

The years before 1997 Handover, in our colonial time, this blogger's writing style was commonly seen in Hong Kong's English language newspapers and publications. Style as style is, some stays longer than the others, but it always comes and goes. The same can be said for an once almighty empire, however mighty it was. In the skillful hand of a seasoned professional writer/journalist, the language in this blog is like a dish of a renowned Chinese cuisine with subtle multi-flavors and layer upon layer of assorted textures --- it's a kind of prose, it seems, only an Englishman of this blogger's vintage can muster.

The blogger, Stuart Wolfendale, at one time, was a writer and reporter for some of Hong Kong's leading newspapers and of those overseas. In his blog, he not only writes about what it was like living in Hong Kong during the tail-end of the old empire's glory days, he actually personally experienced it himself. Among other things, the blogger also writes about the present in the voice of a thoughtful, pensive observer.

The beauty of the language and sentimental nostalgia permeate this blog. Hong Kong Blogs Review highly recommends this HK blog, STUART WOLFENDALE WRITES.

And Mr. Wolfendale can surely write.
